And that’s not all – if you’re a fan of furniture discourse, you’ll know that this isn’t the first time the green couch has made headlines, something that a few sharp commenters pointed out.

Yep, a few years ago, TikToker Tish went viral after noticing the famous green velvet couch was a popular choice for bisexual women.
Many celebs jumped into the discourse, and Shay Mitchell even seemingly confirmed her sexuality through the reveal of her own green couch.
Some commenters believe it’s the associations that come with the colour green that have made the couch so popular – nature, prosperity, and peace.

As a Black queer woman, I can’t imagine owning a couch in any other colour, but we really want to know the science behind this.
